Leading busy lives can make it hard to find time to make broth from scratch. Our Chicken Bone Broth powder is ready in seconds, as tasty and nutritious as homemade and easy to take on the go! Often referred to as ‘chicken soup for the soul’, Our Chicken Bone Broth is naturally loaded with essential vitamins for immune support. Red Miso is made from fermented soybeans, and has a long history of use in Japanese culture for promoting gut health and immunity. Zinc is an essential mineral for supporting our immune system and also contributes to cell protection from free radicals. B Vitamins help our metabolism, assist with tiredness and fatigue, and B12 further supports immunity.
How is Chicken Bone Broth made?
Chicken bones are added to filtered water and apple cider vinegar (to maximise nutrient extraction) then slow cooked for over 18 hours. The broth is then strained for impurities and the fat is skimmed off the top. It is gently refractance dried into a powder, taking care to preserve the nutritional profile.

How it works
Simply add 1 small tablespoon (8 g) to 250 ml of boiling water for a hearty cup of goodness. Use as a base for soups, stews, sauces, and gravies for nutrition and taste. Make a broth bowl by adding 1 serve of bone broth to 250 ml water per person. Bring to the boil and add a selection of veggies, protein, and noodles. Serve hot.

WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT RED MISO?
We use Certified Organic Red Miso as a base for all of our Ramens, as it is naturally rich in vitamins and minerals delivering wholesome benefits. It has been dried using a low temperature drying method (freeze drying technique) to retain most of its nutritional benefits, taste and colour. During its processing soya beans and rice were fermented with the probiotic fungus Aspergillus oryzae, to enhance the miso flavour and health goodness. Our beautifully tasting and satisfying Ramen Broths couldn’t get any better than this!

Our 3 ramen varieties have no added flavours! The wonderful rich umami Japanese ramen taste comes from our Certified Organic Fermented Red Miso.
WHAT IS UMAMI (AND DOES IT EXIST)?
Umami is one of our five basic tastes: sweet, sour, bitter, salty and umami. It is translated as “pleasant savoury taste” and it was created in 1908 by a Japanese Chemist. It describes the “brothy and meaty” taste with a long-lasting, mouth watering sensation over the tongue. It only became officially recognised as a fifth taste when scientists were able to locate the taste-bud receptors for umami validating its existence. The umami taste can be perceived through taste receptors that typically respond to special compounds commonly present in fermented foods (like our red miso), meat broths, cheeses, mushrooms…
